Bonbista

Bon Bista means “beautiful view” in Papiamento. The house is located in the hills of the tranquil village of Barber, in the western part of Curaçao. This part of the island is called Bandabou and is characterised by its hilly landscape. It also contains the Christoffelberg, in the Christoffelpark, which is the highest point on Curaçao. Bandabou is also known for some of the most beautiful beaches of the island, such as Kas Abou, Daaibooi, Grote and Kleine Knip, Santa Cruz, Playa Lagun and Playa Piskado. Piskado is famous for the many sea turtles that you are bound to encounter here. The calm and less touristy part of the island is well sought after by those who love nature, diving and snorkeling. This is where you can fully enjoy the tranquillity of the Caribbean life, while the vibrant city of Willemstad is only half an hour driving from our apartment. Only a bit further are the lifely beaches of Mambobeach and Jan Thiel.

In the completely smoke-free apartment you will find everything you need. There is a spacious living room with a cosy sitting area and dining area. You can lounge on the couch and watch tv, although most of the life in Curaçao will take place outside. That is why there is a lounge set on the veranda under the palm tree and a small dining area outside. Inside you will find a new kitchen that provides everything you need, such as an induction stove, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, extensive crockery and cutlery. There is a nice bathroom with a shower and toilet. The masterbedroom contains a comfortable bed with Emma mattresses and is equipped with air conditioning. The second bedroom, has also airconditoning, has two single beds. Receiving visitors or organizing parties in the rented property is NOT permitted. The owners live above the apartment. This can be useful in case there are any questions since there will be a quick response, while due to the build of the house there is still optimal privacy. We charge a deposit of EUR 300.00 / US$ 300. The deposit or any remaining amount will be refunded to an account number to be provided by the tenant within 7 days after departure, after settlement of any claims, e.g. final electricity bill and/or any damage to inventory and/or holiday home and/or other costs. Any further claim for compensation will not be nullified by us through this refund.

Who are we?

The owners of the apartment, Joost and Paul, had been coming to Curaçao on holiday for years. During those holidays their love for the island grew and later the desire emerged to move there. This wish became reality in Februari 2024. Meanwhile we did a lot of maintenance in order to receive guests in the apartment and the results are great. Joost and Paul would love to share their love for the surroundings with their guests and thus contribute to an extraordinary holiday. It might also be possible to pick you up from the airport Hato, for which we will ask a contribution of €25,-.
